I Love Juicy //A Lush Shampoo Review

Hey everyone!

I bought something. Maybe it’s a gimmick, maybe it will work, maybe I’m crazy who knows! I bought a shampoo specialized for oily hair at Lush last Monday! I gave it a week and thought I would share it with you guys!

Like always I have an in-depth review on YouTube if you want to see my face talk for like way too long. I would love to see all of you lovely friends over there. So please check it out.

Now on to the review. I kinda decided like 30 seconded before using the product that I would actually review it, #Content. I had high hopes for this product because well, any other shampoo I have ever used had been shit. I don’t mean it in a bad way. I just have oily hair and 99% of shampoo is catered towards people with dry hair. So all those hydrating shampoos are not for me. My hair gets oily that same day when I use those shampoos.

So if it says it’s for people with oily hair, I thought to myself, well how badly can they screw this up? Spoiler: there is no screw-up, it works amazingly!

My first impression was it’s expensive! I don’t know who has 37$ Canadian to spend on shampoo but this girl can’t! I prefer you know the 3$ range. If I can get it cheaper than that then I am a very happy girl. I just find it super hard to justify spending that much money on a small bottle of shampoo. It would only make sense if it would last me over a year and I doubt that will happen. I give it an optimistic few months.

Now, the first thing that struck me while actually using the product was that you don’t need a lot. One squirt and you’ve got enough to cover your head. This is taken into account that I have thin hair. It foams up like a normal shampoo and smells very strong. I bought I Love Juicy which is more of a tropical scent. If that’s not your thing then you will hate this.

Other than that, after a few days of using the shampoo, I noticed a huge change in my hair. Instead of being oily the next day my hair is healthy and shiny. That was very interesting to see. I am very impressed with what this shampoo has been able to do in the short time that I have been using it.

So all in all, I think I kind of love this shampoo haha! The only problem is that it is so expensive. It makes it hard for me to justify buying this product again for the price. But if you are interested in this products you can get it HERE.

Would you guys buy a specialized hair care product for that price? Am I being too picky or is the price insane? Would you or have you ever tried this product? I would love to know what you guys think!

Bath and Body Works Haul / Fall 2018 // Blogtober Day #3

Hey everyone!

I’ve done it again…ought way too much Bath and Body Works! I know, I know it’s a problem. I promise that this is not sponsored. It would be fantastic if they wanted to sponsor me with how much I buy their products but alas no luck. Since fall as rolled around, I needed to get my hands on their new stuff. I had over 2000$ of their stuff in my cart online. I decided to go in-store and check it out in person. I’m a bit picky when it comes to scents during this time because I hate vanilla! Vanilla always seems to be a fall scent that is overused. I hate vanilla so much I think I have a trauma associated with it or something.

Unfourtantly, I was a bit disappointed in the selection at my local Bath and Body Works. They didn’t have everything on the website. Also, most of the scents were vanilla based, yuck! It didn’t help I had a bad cold and couldn’t smell very well. The employees, though I know it’s their job, but they were extremely pushy. I hate more than anything in the world when employees try to put products on you. I don’t want it! I have sensitive skin. Though I never get reactions from their products I’d rather be the one that makes the decision on what goes on my skin. It’s as if they have no concept of allergies.

Anyways, enough with that and on to the haul. I only picked up 5 things and it cost me like 80$! I got the whole pumpkin picking collection so the cream, shower gel and perfume. I also got the pumpkin enzyme gel moisturizer and the thousand years candle.

The pumpkin picking collection smells so good. It was the only one that smelt the least of vanilla or something I already had. I really wanted something that smelt of pumpkin. I love pumpkin and feel it is super fall. I believe I’ve mentioned this before in my Zoella Beauty 2018 Christmas Collection video, I associate different scents for different seasons. This collection is perfect for the fall time.

The pumpkin enzyme gel moisturizer is the best thing I’ve ever put on my skin. It just feels so good and makes my skin feel so soft. It’s even better than their usual creams. It kinda has a weird look to it that makes you think it’s not a lotion but it is. At first, I was scared it would be sticky because it looks exactly like caramel. It seeps right into the skin hydrating immediately. A lot of people say that it smells of sweet pumpkin but I feel like it smells more of apples and pumpkins.

I own the thousand years perfume and I have adored it for a very long time. It used to be my go to before I got Rose, which has been mentioned in like 5 monthly favourites. When my boyfriend picked up the candle and said he liked it, I knew I had to get it. It smells incredible and just warms up the whole room. I hope that the candle stays around because it is quickly becoming one of my favourites.

So this was my haul. Have you guys picked up any of the new Bath and Body Works products? If so which ones are your favourite? If not did you want to check them out? Let me know, I would love to hear from you guys.

First Review of Zoella Beauty Christmas Collection!

Hey everyone!

So I am finally early to the party. I get to blog about some products before the hype has really picked up. I am feeling on top of the world because I haven’t seen a lot of posts or YouTube videos about the new Zoella Beauty collection! That is just crazy to me. Usually, I see a lot of posts when Zoe comes out with new products. I have a feeling it has to do with the fact that she hasn’t been as present on social media as of late and has said she is not feeling too good about her channel.

All that aside, I love Zoella Beauty. I don’t know if that is a bias because I love Zoe and have been following her for a long time. Though I’m not a huge fan of her body washes, they left me pretty dry. (I have a full blog post all about that HERE). I do absolutely love her body creams though. They aren’t sticky, they smell great and I feel hydrated after using them.

So that is why I was super excited to see that her whole Christmas line was on FeelUnique.com. You can get both the things I bought HERE and HERE! I bought two of her gift sets wanting all of them but knowing that I shouldn’t. I have enough body cream and I don’t have a bath in my current place so I couldn’t get any bath stuff. So I stuck with perfumes. I really have been wanting to try all of the scents from all of her collections but it was super hard to find, living here in Canada.

I have a full review of all the products up on my YouTube Channel!! If you want to hear more about what I have to say about the products you can watch my video down below. (SPOILER!! I’m super in love with what I bought!)

Splash Botanics Is In Canada // A Review

Hey everyone!!

So something very exciting happened yesterday! I got Zoe Sugg’s Splash Botanic’s beauty line in the mail today! I have been wanting these products since they came out. of course, living in Canada makes it just that much harder though. So I thought I would give a bit of a review/first impressions of the products.

I bought as much of the collection as I could get my hands on. I would have bought everything except I don’t have a bath in my new place and I wouldn’t be able to use those products.

I think to start I want to talk about the price. Everything in this collection is very affordable. I think that was a really cool plus. I know Zoe had a “scandal” with her calendar being very expensive. I honestly have to agree with Zoe not having much of a say on the prices. Everything she sells independently are super reasonable in price.

First thing first the actual scent. I love it. I was really nervous with all the reviews that I would not love the scent. I am very happy to confirm that the scent is very light and fresh. I think it’s perfect for the summer.

Botanic’eau’s container is made of glass and is an awesome size. I was very happily surprise thinking it would be a lot smaller. I’m in love with the packaging. I have a feeling that this is going to my favourite perfume for the next few months.

Quench Me body sorbet is the body cream that comes with the line. I think the pot is such a cool way to package body cream. There is about 200ml in the container and that is about as much as any other body cream I’ve ever bought. I thought because of the size of the container there wouldn’t be much product.

I haven’t tried the Make A Splash moisturizing body wash. When I opened it the body wash smelled like all the other products. I’m very excited to try a moisturizing body wash with a thick creamy consistency. I don’t think I’ve ever really tried any body wash like that.

Last but not least the newest addition to the Zoella Beauty creations, So Soft lip oil. I love this already. It smells different from the rest of the collection. The oil smells more like watermelon. It doesn’t taste overwhelmingly on the lips which is super important to me. I love the applicator finding it super easy to put on the lips. It’s also an applicator I see more in high-quality items. It looks like a clear lip gloss on the lips without being sticky. It doesn’t wear off when you eat either.

All in all, I am so happy that I finally have these products in my hands. I feel like this collection is way better than her original collection in terms of the quality of the products. I found the original collection very drying and this one very hydrating. I recommend anyone that is a fan of Zoella or just looking for a very summer-y scent.

National Lipstick Day – Day #29

Hey everyone!

It is National Lipstick Day! So in honour of copying everyone on the interent, I thought I would share some of my favourite lipsticks! I couldn’t narrow it down to one so I had to share my 6 top favourites.

To start off yes this guy broke, I’m sorry she wasn’t ready for a photo shoot. My Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in 535 Rum Raisin is my ride or die. This colour and I have been through it. I bought this guy when Kylie Jenner was super famous for wearing MAC Velvet Teddy and Whirl. I originally had the super old original shade of Retro by MAC. It accidentally went into the wash 😦 So I wanted something to replace it because I felt like it matched the Kylie Jenner nude trend and it was perfect for my skin tone. I was also young at the time and didn’t have much money so I had to buy this drugstore Revlon lipstick and well it’s like MAC Retro never happened.

So If you’ve followed Zoella, Zoe Sugg, on YouTube for awhile this was one of her favourite lipsticks for a long time. It’s Rimmel London’s Lasting Finish by Kate lipstick in 107. It has become one of my favourite berry red colours. I love wearing red lipstick and I admired Zoe so much that I would buy anything she liked if it was a reasonable price and I knew I would wear it. Also, I am obsessed with how it smells. It’s a very drying lipstick that always leaves my lips super peal-y but I don’t care the colour is everything.

I added a new red to my collection recently because I was looking for more of a true red. I didn’t think I would like this lipstick as much as I did. L’Oreal Infallible Pro-Matte Liquid Lipstick in Matador is amazing. It is literally transfer proof and does smug or need to be reapplied for hours. It is the best for parties or events. Honestly, I want to buy more colours from the collection just because this is so amazing.

I know that NYX Lingerie Liquid Lipsticks are a bit of a controversial liquid lip. Some people like them, other’s done. I love them! I think they are great for their price. My favourite colour is Teddy. It’s an awesome brown and just matches my skin tone and dark features. I love how whipped the formula is. If you are on a budget don’t listen to those big beauty gurus these do the trick!

I don’t have to say much about this one. It has appeared on my monthly favourites a lot! When I mean a lot I mean since I pretty much got it. The Body Shop Matte Liquid Lipstick in the shade Nairobi Camellia is spot on for me. It’s just the right colour pink! It’s my favourite everyday colour. It’s just so wearable and the formula is the bomb! I was very surprised how much I like The Body Shop’s liquid lips but honestly don’t count them out their liquid lips are to die for.

Last but not least one of the newest lipsticks to my collection is the Colourpop Ultra Glossy Lip in Cabana Boy. I even made a blog post when I got this guy. I am obsessed! I just love a good gloss and this is the one. It looks beautiful on and the sparkles aren’t chunky or annoying. If you’re looking for the perfect sparkly gloss this is the one.

So these are some of my favourite lipsticks in celebration of National Lipstick Day. What are some of you guy’s favourite lipsticks? Are there some that I’ve mentioned that you love or hate? I would love to know.

My Everyday Summer Makeup Look – Day #8

Hey everyone!

I am no beauty guru. I am actually shit at makeup if you haven’t seen my Blogmas post. I love makeup put for whatever reason I just can’t perform. I also don’t super follow beauty trends. I just wear what I like.

Okay, I lied. I follow one trend and it’s the brands that beauty gurus use. I bought a Fenty Beauty concealer in the shade Bamboo. I gave it an awesome review here. I also have the Naked 2 palette.

All the products I used for this look are cruelty-free. I am a strong believer in using cruelty-free products. I don’t understand how you can test a product on an animal. It’s not fair to them and it’s just so evil.

I like to keep my makeup light. I don’t like when I have heavy makeup on during the summer. I know it comes off anyway. I do the same smokey slash brown eye-defying look.

I use the shades Tease and Busted in the crease and then Half Baked all over the lid and corner. I use the Naked 2 pallette for this. You can get it here. I feel like these colours really play off my eye colour. I then use just an Elf mascara. It’s funny that this 3$ mascara is one of the best mascara’s I used. I just think it lifts my lashes and keeps them separated. I highly recommend elf mascara if you are looking for something cheap.

I’ve talked about this liquid lip on multiple occasions. This is my go to and it has been for months now. I got it for Christmas and I swear I have used it every day since. I just love how creamy and beautiful The Body Shop’s liquid lips are. They go on so easy and stay for hours. Again I highly recommend if you’re looking for something that is cruelty-free and you know will be a staple in your makeup collection.

Fenty Beauty is one of my go-to concealers if I want something light and to just colour correct my skin. The colour is an exact colour match for my tan during the summer. I’d have to buy something lighter for the winter season. You can get it here if you still haven’t tried it yet.

I know I’m not exactly the best beauty guru or blogger. I just enjoy playing around with makeup and for me, that is enough.
