Bath and Body Works Haul / Fall 2018 // Blogtober Day #3

Hey everyone!

I’ve done it again…ought way too much Bath and Body Works! I know, I know it’s a problem. I promise that this is not sponsored. It would be fantastic if they wanted to sponsor me with how much I buy their products but alas no luck. Since fall as rolled around, I needed to get my hands on their new stuff. I had over 2000$ of their stuff in my cart online. I decided to go in-store and check it out in person. I’m a bit picky when it comes to scents during this time because I hate vanilla! Vanilla always seems to be a fall scent that is overused. I hate vanilla so much I think I have a trauma associated with it or something.

Unfourtantly, I was a bit disappointed in the selection at my local Bath and Body Works. They didn’t have everything on the website. Also, most of the scents were vanilla based, yuck! It didn’t help I had a bad cold and couldn’t smell very well. The employees, though I know it’s their job, but they were extremely pushy. I hate more than anything in the world when employees try to put products on you. I don’t want it! I have sensitive skin. Though I never get reactions from their products I’d rather be the one that makes the decision on what goes on my skin. It’s as if they have no concept of allergies.

Anyways, enough with that and on to the haul. I only picked up 5 things and it cost me like 80$! I got the whole pumpkin picking collection so the cream, shower gel and perfume. I also got the pumpkin enzyme gel moisturizer and the thousand years candle.

The pumpkin picking collection smells so good. It was the only one that smelt the least of vanilla or something I already had. I really wanted something that smelt of pumpkin. I love pumpkin and feel it is super fall. I believe I’ve mentioned this before in my Zoella Beauty 2018 Christmas Collection video, I associate different scents for different seasons. This collection is perfect for the fall time.

The pumpkin enzyme gel moisturizer is the best thing I’ve ever put on my skin. It just feels so good and makes my skin feel so soft. It’s even better than their usual creams. It kinda has a weird look to it that makes you think it’s not a lotion but it is. At first, I was scared it would be sticky because it looks exactly like caramel. It seeps right into the skin hydrating immediately. A lot of people say that it smells of sweet pumpkin but I feel like it smells more of apples and pumpkins.

I own the thousand years perfume and I have adored it for a very long time. It used to be my go to before I got Rose, which has been mentioned in like 5 monthly favourites. When my boyfriend picked up the candle and said he liked it, I knew I had to get it. It smells incredible and just warms up the whole room. I hope that the candle stays around because it is quickly becoming one of my favourites.

So this was my haul. Have you guys picked up any of the new Bath and Body Works products? If so which ones are your favourite? If not did you want to check them out? Let me know, I would love to hear from you guys.

My Go To Vacation Outfit

Hey everyone!

Happy Thursday! I just got back from vacation and thought I would share one of my favourite outfits from the trip.

I went to the beautiful Sainte-Adele mountains and stayed in the most gorgeous cabin. The place had the best views, a comfy bed and a cool hot tub. The place was just relaxing and tranquil. I wanted to wear an outfit that really symbolized how this cabin was making me feel.

I decided to go with my new go-to American Eagle pants. We actually went to the outlets the day of this outfit and I knew I was going to have to do some walking outside in the humid weather. My thighs tend to chafe so I thought I would go with something that would protect my thighs from that torture. These pants are so so so comfortable. I recommend them 100% if you can get your hands on them or something similar.

The top is a crop top that I actually wore to prom. I’m a bit lazy and hate wearing bras so this top allows me to not have to wear one. I also have rather large boobs so I need longer crop tops. So this one is the right proportion for me. It makes sure that there will be no nips slips or underboob but still gives my mid-drift some action.

I didn’t really feature any shoes because I just wore ugly flip-flops. I didn’t plan on making a blog post on my outfits so I only brought my comfy ugly flip-flops and sneakers. so I am barefoot in this post.

I also had my vintage purse. It was my grandmother’s back in the day and I just love the vibe it has. It reminds me of Louis Vuitton in a sense but I’m pretty sure it was nowhere in that price point. This purse makes me feel badass. It’s from a company called Liz Claiborne. I’m pretty sure you can find purses similar to this one on eBay. They run from about 20$ to 200$. I’m going, to be honest, I have no clue what makes some purses more expensive than others.

I was also wearing my Hawaii Passionfruit Kiss fragrance mist by Bath and Body Works. I find this is a great vacation scent. It’s so sweet and reminds me of Hawaii as the bottle states.

I didn’t wear much makeup but I was wearing an NYX Lingerie liquid lipstick in the colour in Push Up. Push Up is a light nude that just made me feel like my look was put together. I wore super natural makeup and I felt like it just matched the relaxed vibe.

So all in all that was my go-to look. Do you guys love these pants too? If so I want to know! What are some of you guys go to vacation outfits?

What I Loved in July // Monthly Favourites

Hey everyone!

We are officially back on the regular posting schedule. That also means we’re back on the regular posting topics. I think people are tired of monthly favourites but I’m not. I think it’s super interesting to see what people are into even if it’s for a short amount of time. I also set a goal to post a favourite every month for a year. I really want to be able to look back in a year and see what I was into over the course of the year. I always want to see if I’m still going to be interested in those favourites next year.

I actually recorded a video of all my favourites this time so less writing from me today and more talking. I really wanted to get back into filming videos again. I love making YouTube videos but I’ve been just a bit insecure. That and I made a whole post that is an open letter to YouTube that you can read here.

What are some of you guy’s favourite from July? Are you guys tired of seeing monthly favourites? Do you guys like seeing more YouTube videos from me?

What I Loved in April // 2018

Hey everyone!

I am late, like always. I am the worst of getting these monthly favourites up. I think it’s because I don’t really think about it during the month. I just do and like things but don’t keep tabs on them. Oops. It’s here though as expected. I am really happy to talk about what I’ve been liking this month. I don’t have much to share but these things are still worth sharing in my eyes.

So I am a sucker for home renovation, house hunting and Caribean Life shows. I just love home design so much! It also might have to do with the fact that I am moving soon. Whenever I move I feel the sudden urge to get my interior design on and think up all the ways I want to decorate my new place. I am moving in with my boyfriend for anyone that is wondering. It’s a new and exciting journey for us and I am so excited. Okay, back to the monthly favourites. I have always been a huge fan of HGTV it just seems when this season comes around I feel more motivated to watch. I don’t know why! I just feel like late spring/early summer is the most motivating time of the year.

For all those who don’t know I have been posting almost every day on Instagram for about a month now, so beginning of April. I am actually really enjoying it. I have never been on to post much on Instagram. (I was really bad at it shhh) I just have now found a theme that I love and am enjoying! If you guys don’t follow me on Instagram, I talk about my life and post weird pictures! I have also really been wanting to up my Instagram traffic so that I can grow more of a following here on my blog. I am the worst at using social media to promote myself, It’s a problem. Maybe I can add that to my summer goals, try being more active on social media every day. Bare with me you guys I am no blogging guru just yet.

3. Essential Oils, Lavender and Sandalwood, Body Wash – Bath and Body Works

I have a new body wash! I bought it at the same time I made my Christmas Bath and Body Works and Lush Haul from Blogmas! I have been really loving this guy. I smell amazing and it leaves my skin feeling super smooth. I have been pairing it up with the skin oil from the same collection. For whatever reason, my skin has been all over the place. I have never had this much acne in my life and I never wash my face. I have always been blessed with relatively clear skin. I get one big pimple during my period and that’s it. Now I have had really bad acne and I am trying to figure out why. I’m starting to get suspicious of the weather! All that to say that the rest of my body has been pretty dry so this body wash has really helped me out, I highly recommend it. Just a little btw I have sensitive skin that reacts to literally everything and I have never had a problem with Bath and Body Works products, also they’re cruelty-free!

4.Fresh Fruit

Last but not least food. This wouldn’t be my monthly favourite if I didn’t talk about food of course. I have been really loving fresh fruit. This is actually not a new thing or something that is super surprising about me. I just thought I would mention it in this favourites. I have also just learned how to cut a pineapple and I am so proud! I have been eating pineapple, mango and any other fresh fruit I can get my hands on. I am doing a “Fast” today to jump start my diet and this post is making my stomach growl. I have no idea why I was convinced a fast was a good idea. (According to my research it’s not bad every now and again)

Well, here you have it, my monthly favourites! I know this wasn’t the most exciting post to read, I’ll try harder to be more entertaining next month. I promise. I usually have a YouTube video to go with but for whatever reason my camera has decided to act up so I couldn’t film 😦

What I Loved in February // 2018

Happy Monday everybody!!

I know surprise! I don’t usually upload on Mondays, but I thought I would make a blog post to go with my YouTube video. For all those who don’t know I post videos on Youtube every Monday at 9 PM eastern time. Today I am sharing all my monthly favourites. So let’s get into it.

I love my beats. I got them at the same time I got my MacBook. They’ve been featured a few times in a couple of other posts like “What’s in my Carry On??”. I decided to add them into this month’s favourites because I have been using them every day. They are the best for students. The sound cancellation is pretty good. I’m sure they aren’t the best headphones for it ever, but I do really like them. I feel like I can really focus at school because when they’re in I can’t see or hear anything other than my work. I have the Rose Gold ones but if you want to buy some similar you can get these Gold ones here:

As much as I’ve always been a fan of YouTube I feel like this month I have taken a special care for it. I have been watching YouTube as a YouTuber and not as a fan or consumer. I was watching videos and taking mental notes on ideas for my own videos. I’ve been watching small channels lately too. I feel like there is a different atmosphere when you watch people that are still growing their channel. These people are in the same boat as me trying to build their career and hustling as hard as they can. Honestly, I really do suggest taking time to watch smaller accounts. You’ll be very surprised with what you’ll find. I actually talked to my boyfriend about this. We both agree that we find more genuine and interesting in smaller accounts. I think it’s because these are the people that are dedicated to their craft and are not just in it for the money.

I love notebooks. I am a stantionary-aholic. I have a genuine problem. So, this should come to no surprise that I like taking notes by hand. I decided to create a notebook to start taking my blog from personal to business. I’ve been reading ever pin I can find and taking as many notes as possible. I am the worst note taker. I have notes all over the page. Checkmarks, boxes, crossed out things, I have it all. I am the only person who can read my notes. I highly suggest getting a notebook if you are really looking to be more serious about your blog or YouTube channel. I think paper is the safe option rather than leaving everything on a computer. Your computer can crash or lose files out of nowhere. Just do it! Trust me. If you liked my notebook in the video you can get a similar one here from Kate Spade:

This was in last month’s favourites. I’m sure you guys are sick and tired of hearing me talk about this perfume. Almost all my perfumes are from Bath and Body Works. I love their brand, it’s cruelty-free and always good quality. Everything always smells so good too. I have never been disappointed with any of their products. They have a few other scents in this range if this isn’t your favourite. I have the Rose scent. Be warned, this is a real perfume, it’s not like their other body mists. If you don’t know most of Bath and Body Work mists don’t stick to you very long. This one sticks to you for what feels like forever.

Jalapeno Cheetos

I think this is one of the most embarrassing favourites but if I didn’t share I wouldn’t be true to my monthly favourites. I love these Cheetos so much. I am sort of obsessed with them. I will eat a whole bag in two days. If you like spicy snacks this is for sure the one for you. I find food harder to explain because I never know what to say about it. It’s very unhealthy and I probably shouldn’t be suggesting this to anyone but they are so yummy.

If you want a more in-depth talk about these products I did upload a YouTube talking about my favourites

What I Loved in January // 2018

I feel like this January went by so quick yet so slow at the same time. When I was listing all the things I was loving this month I felt like I had no clue what I liked. After much thought, I was able to make a little list to share with you guys.

Reality TV

I usually like my good old Netflix but this month I put it away and opted for some reality TV. Now I don’t usually like reality TV. I find it brain numbing and a waste of time. For some reason thought this month I was hooked. I would put on Keeping Up with Kardashians, Botched and My 600lb life just as noise. I would be prepping blog posts or editing youtube videos and the shows would be playing in the background. After a few days of doing this, I suddenly was interested in what was happening.

So in youtuber news, I have found my end all be all holy grail fav. I love Mac he is hilarious and just makes my day a better place. I think I have watched all his videos even the old ones. I love the image he portrays its relatable and just good entertainment. I honestly think everyone should go check him out if they want a laugh.

School Sweater

I have been living in my school sweater. I bought it on the first day of school because it was the coldest day of the year and I was freezing. I was crazy cold. I was buying my school books anyways so I just picked it up. I bought it like 3 sizes too big and I couldn’t be happier. It is so warm and comfy, it’s my new favourite sweater. I’m sure I will be wearing it for years to come.

I started taking my vitamins like an adult this month. I was feeling a bit down and a bit sick in December so I thought I would start there. I see a change in just my energy. I have so much more energy in the morning. I’m starting to think it’s because I wasn’t getting enough vitamins. I am currently taking the Centrum multigummies for adults. They taste like candy.

The Body Shop Liquid Lipsticks

I got this set of three for Christmas. They aren’t exactly my favourite liquid lipsticks out there but they’re just so easy to wear. I find them just easy and smooth to apply that I don’t care about the longevity. I keep them in my backpack as a quick go to if I feel like I need a little colour on my lips.

Elijah Wood x Jaime Fine

I’m always looking for new music to listen to. I happened to watch an episode of The Launch that featured these two. I am obsessed. I listen to their songs over and over again. I can’t get enough. Jaime’s voice brings tears to my eyes and goosebumps. I recommend 110%!

WordPress Reader

I really slacked when I started this blog. I didn’t look at the other blogs on this platform. I didn’t think it would help me as a blogger in any way. Boy have I changed my mind. The more I start reading other blogger’s work the more motivated I am to post more. It’s like a small community of people that love the same things I do.

My Perfume

Now, this may be a strange one but I no joke wear this perfume everyday! I love how ROSE from Bath and Body Works smells. It’s just so fresh and yummy. I have a bunch of body mists from Bath and Body Works so I assumed that it would be similar to those ones. Nope, this is a real perfume. It lasts forever and you don’t need that much. The first time wearing it I sprayed so much on and knew I made a mistake only a few minutes later.

So this is just a short list of everything that I’ve been loving this month. I am hoping to do this every month. I have a feeling it’s something that will be nice to look back on in a few years time. What are some things you guys had been loving all of January?
